CareersPortal.co.za had a chat with the Head of Section for Engineering Studies at False Bay College, about their different courses.
False Bay's Engineering NCV programmes are available at two campuses: Westlake Campus and Khayelitsha Campus. These Engineering programmes are for a three-year length.

NCV Engineering Course Entry Requirements
These classes begin at NCV level 2 as well as bare minimum need would then be Grade nine certificate with a pass in Arithmetic.
Once the student finishes NCVLevel 2, they would then have attained a grade 10 certificate. NCV Level 3 would be grade 11 and NCV Level 4 is grade twelve.
NCV Level four is at the exit level, getting comparable to a Nationwide Senior Certificate (NSC).
Grade nine is on NQF level 1. Our NCV programmes start NCV degree two that is equivalent to an NQF level two.
On which type of students are fitted to these programmes, they say that the world is acknowledging that standard education isn't automatically the only real method of turning out to be an artisan or getting competent therefore if a student knows from an early age what their pursuits are, the NCV programme is actually completely suited to that student.
